Connecting to the recycling chain, through technological tools.

Ecolana is a Mexican startup is a platform that seeks to facilitate access to recycling, it has a map of recycling centers nationwide, to which the user has access.

Through the map, people can see more than 3,000 collection centers, find out the hours, the address and the type of material they receive. The founders Alejandra Valdez G and Lisseth Cordero started in 2016, when they realized that those who decided to recycle could not find a place to take the material.

In addition, recycling in Latin America is not so easy because there is no comprehensive waste management system.

For this reason they took on the task of creating a database of the centers, which took them two years, because the compilation was done by hand and from door to door.

By 2018 the company built the first company and the business was consolidated.

"What we do is connect this recycling chain, through technological tools."
