Ñambopyahu Ñande Market Project (PÑÑM). It is a project developed by ASOCSAMA (Association of Merchants of Sector A of the Municipal Abasto Market of Ciudad del Este) through the Designers Walter Molinas (President of ASOCSAMA) and Teresa Alma (Teacher), both members of the market community to the living community of the Mercado De Abasto De Ciudad Del Este. It was presented to the permit holders and the municipal authorities on duty on May 28, 2019 and is currently in force. Who is ASOCSAMA? The ASOCSAMA or “COMMERCIALS ASSOCIATION OF SECTOR “A” OF THE MUNICIPAL SUPPLY MARKET” (Art.: 1). It is an Association that seeks to unite merchants to improve the conditions of the member and the living community; strengthening its competitiveness, productivity and profitability. Establishing participation mechanisms for society, entrepreneurs, industrialists, merchants and service providers, in favor of the development of benefit programs, under the constitutional precepts and current regulations (Art.: 8, sub. 1). It was founded on October 29, 2017 and is constituted as a local non-profit professional association, for the representation, management, promotion, advice and defense of the common interests of merchants and professionals who carry out their activity in the Municipal Market of East City (Art.: 1). What is the objective of the PÑÑM? The main objective of this Project is to reactivate the economy of the CDE Municipal De Abasto Market progressively promoting 3 essential axes that are the economy, the social and the cultural to promote the Living Community so that it is an interesting option to be visited in our city in the tourist fieE30:E31ld. The project works different areas that must be improved in the Market, always respecting the cultural identity of its inhabitants and its history in more than 35 years of operation. These areas of work are: 1 Maintain a constant dialogue between all the actors of the community. 2 and 3 Develop cultural fairs and discounts that will boost the economy of the permit holders of the Zone. 4 Help bring agreements that can develop soft skills, enhance gender identity by valuing the hard work of women in the area, enhance financial and business skills to transform the market from education, thus avoiding Hunger in the different communities that depend on the market. 5 The creation of tourist spots within the Mercado de Abasto, thus promoting cultural identity and not forgetting history. 6 Organization of each sector of the Mercado de Abasto in order to offer better quality to customers and tourists. The Municipal Supply Market of CDE. Today in the municipal food market there are more than 1,300 stores in a 9-hectare area, giving an average of approximately 6,000 people who daily carry out their activities in this sector of the city and another 5,000 people who carry out their shopping; thus totaling about 11,000 people who are benefited by the project directly and indirectly. Of that total of people, about 1000 people live inside the enclosure. Without knowing the conditions in which they are, since there is a constant lack of water in the sector.
